**MISSION AND OBJECTIVES**

**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Provide technical and functional support to business users, mainly in North America, but also worldwide.
- Diagnoze and resolve data processing problems
- Participate in disaster recovery trials (evening and weekend work).
- Support changes in production environments (evening and weekend work).
- Analyze and improve existing procedures and tasks.
- Analyze and suggest improvements to our current production monitoring and warning process.
- Maintain existing production-related procedures, processes and tools with a view to improving their efficiency and enabling the Applications Production Support, Montreal World Markets team to perform more value-added tasks.
- An information technology business analyst is responsible for an organization's technological development and direction.
- The knowledge and abilities of an information technology business analyst can be applied in a variety of corporate settings.
- Primary responsibilities of an information technology business analyst are to design business information systems, incorporate new technical systems to improve workflow, production, efficiency and effectiveness.
- The analyst is also expected to maintain current knowledge of rapidly changing computer technology.

**KEY SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS**

**TRAINING AND OCCUPATIONAL EXPERIENCE**
- Technical and functional support experience in an environment in contact with clients

**ESSENTIAL SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS**
- Around 5 years of practice in a production environment, preferable in the financial field
- Good technical understanding of SQL; ability to carry out research using descriptive data and to provide updates as necessary
- Knowledge of scripting languages
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Analytical, documentation and problem-solving skills
- Good organizational skills; concern for customer service
- Experience in the financial domain

**Language**:

- French/English

**SKILLS AND BEHAVIOURS**
- Knowledge of Unix and Linux
- Ability to work in teams and take initiative

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: Up to $430.00 per day
