**Job Overview**

We are seeking an experienced Controller with a strong background in manufacturing to join our team. Experience in the corrugate industry would be an asset.

As Controller you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, maintaining compliance with accounting standards and contributing to our strategic growth and profitability plans.

This role requires a strong understanding of financial management principles.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Prepare and present monthly/quarterly reports, analyzing issues, trends and changes in the operation
- Develop key financial and operating metrics
- Lead the preparation of annual operations budget, monthly and quarterly forecasts and variance reporting and analysis
- Lead the implementation of internal control policies, processes and best practices
- Develop and maintain capital expenditure budget
- Foster and manage effective relationships with paper suppliers
- Develop and maintain the standard costing system
- Manage paper roll inventory
- Monitor and manage margin and market share
- Manage 3rd party IT services ensuring system security, upgrades and operational effectiveness is maintained
- Support oversight of accounting activities for finance and operations

**Qualifications**
- Post-secondary diploma/degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA designation preferred
- In-depth knowledge of internal controls, accounting principles and practices, including forecasting, budgeting and account reconciliation
- Knowledge of ISO certification and procedures
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in an order-based manufacturing environment
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a leadership capacity
- Strong leadership, managerial, interpersonal, communication and customer service skills with proven ability to work with all levels of the organization.
- Excellent problem-solving attitude and abilities, using sound professional judgement
- Detail oriented, providing timely and accurate data and analysis
- Ability to contain confidential and sensitive information with a high degree of discretion
- Experience with payroll systems and regulations is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
