**Position Overview**:
Reporting directly to the CFO, with a dotted line to the President of Manufacturing, the Manufacturing Controller will take full ownership of standard cost management and cost budgeting. This is a hands-on role requiring someone who will work closely with management to influence decisions, drive results, and spearhead cost reduction strategies. You’ll be expected to dig deep into operations and partner across teams to ensure financial targets are met and exceeded.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop and maintain standard cost systems for accurate product costing and profitability analysis.
- Own the cost budget process, ensuring alignment with both financial targets and operational goals.
- Collaborate with management to set, track, and achieve cost reduction goals, driving continuous improvement across the organization.
- Analyze production costs, variances, and trends to provide actionable insights and recommend corrective actions that enhance margins.
- Work closely with manufacturing and supply chain teams to optimize production efficiency, material usage, and overall cost structure.
- Lead cost reduction initiatives, identifying opportunities and implementing solutions that improve overall financial performance.
- Working with the Director of Reporting, ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including monthly close processes, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Act as a strategic financial advisor to both the CFO and President of Manufacturing, providing clear insights and driving accountability across departments.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA designation required.
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing finance or cost accounting role, with demonstrated success in cost management and reduction initiatives.
- Strong expertise in cost accounting principles, including standard costing, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
- Proven ability to partner with both financial and operational leadership to drive performance and accountability.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence decision-making at all levels.
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills are required.
