- The Indigenous Student Success Support Coach is aimed at promoting a positive Indigenous student experience by supporting the Indigenous Student Success Strategy on increasing Indigenous student enrollment, and retention. To achieve this, they will prepare perspective Indigenous student for post-secondary by:

- Support post-secondary transition programs for Indigenous students based on a clear understanding of education needs.
- Intended first point of contact for information and advising for future students, counsellors, teachers, parents, external community partners, and the public.
- Extend invites to new students to orientation and other events and is responsible for the planning, implementation, coordination and evaluation of major recruitment events such as selected high school visits, presentations and workshops, guidance counsellor workshops.
- Meet with high schools and adult basic education programs that have a high population of Indigenous students and make classroom presentations.
- Develop close and trusted relationships with Indigenous communities in Saskatchewan, so we can respond to their specific educational concerns and needs.
- Work closely with the Saskatchewan Polytechnic Adult Literacy Program
- Collaborate with communications in managing targeted social media campaigns.
- Work with marketing & communications to develop, Indigenous recruitment communications plan, standards and processes that are reflective of the Indigenous Student Success Strategy
- Provide a student-centered approach across all activities and department
- Contribute to student communications
- Connect students with supports
- Advance Saskatchewan Polytechnic reputation by assisting in developing strategic relationships with partners

**Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities (QSA)**
- Certificate in office administration or business
- Three years of relatable experience in Indigenous communities with event planning, presentations, and public speaking.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal,
- Intermediate proficiency with computers and common software packages
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Excellent relationship building skills
- Ability to work alone and a part of a virtual team
- Demonstrated experience working directly with Indigenous peoples in a learning environment
- Demonstrated presentation and public speaking skills
- Demonstrated experience in managing project and/ planning events
- Ability to create and maintain internal website and external social media posts
