**What You’ll Do**:

- **Study Abroad Program Administration**: Oversee and coordinate all aspects of Study Abroad program offerings, including registration processes for incoming and outgoing exchange students, visiting research students, and program fee management.
- **Immigration Support**: Provide accurate immigration guidance to participants, monitor their immigration status, and maintain meticulous records to ensure compliance.
- **Promotional Outreach**: Prepare and deliver engaging presentations at classes, open houses, high-school visits, and educational fairs to promote study abroad opportunities and attract prospective participants.
- **Orientation and Support**: Conduct orientation sessions, pre-placement interviews, and pre-departure information sessions for students and parents to ensure a smooth transition into the study abroad experience.
- **Reporting and Data Management**: Prepare detailed reports on financial aspects, scholarship opportunities, collaborative partnerships, and maintain accurate records of contracts, agreements, and student information.
- **Marketing and Event Coordination**: Lead marketing efforts through various channels including social media platforms, posters, and view books. Organize and coordinate student program events to enhance awareness and participation.
- **Partnership Utilization**: Leverage partnerships and government programs to expand student mobility opportunities abroad and promote international faculty mobility initiatives.

Position Requirements

**What You Will Bring to the Position**:

- University Undergraduate degree; and
- Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience and training.
- A combination of education and experience may be considered.

**Skills That Will Ensure Your Success in this Role**:

- Experience working in a university environment;
- Knowledge of Scholarship Administration;
- Understanding of marketing and recruitment strategies for study abroad programs;
- Knowledge of Caspur, Banner and related reports;
- Must understand University policies and procedures relating to international student mobility;
- Knowledge of crisis and risk management;
- Demonstrated ability to organize multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail and outstanding customer service standards;
- Ability to create, compose and edit written materials and reports, as well as strong presentation skills;
- Ability to communicate in a diverse work setting respectfully and courteously, as well as communicate efficiently and effectively with international partners and key UofR stakeholders;
- Demonstrated ability to deliver superior customer service skills with tact and diplomacy;
- Knowledge of Canadian government policies in relation to international students’ travel, studying and working in Canada, and Canadian students studying abroad;
- Must have strong client relationship building skills;
- Must have excellent cross-cultural communication skills;
- Demonstrated ability to make decisions based on sound judgement; ability to identify and resolve complex problems;
- Demonstrated ability to set and achieve goals;
- International experience beyond personal travel is a strong asset;
- The ability to communicate fluently in English and an additional language is a strong asset.
