**Manager, Fund Development & Communications**

AboutFace is hiring for a new position: Manager, Fund Development & Communications.

**The primary responsibilities of the role include**:

- Focus on the current strategic plan's goals related to fundraising and communications, including continuing the diversification of funding opportunities, expanding outreach to stakeholders, and increasing understanding and acceptance of facial differences across all aspects of society.
- Creating and supporting fundraising strategies, campaigns, programs, and events to support the organization's mission.
- Coordinating, identifying, evaluating, cultivating, and soliciting potential supporters, including individuals, foundations, corporations, and associations. Support for this will be provided by senior leadership, board directors, and other volunteers.
- Creating and overseeing recognition and stewardship plans.
- Overseeing and planning unique outreach and marketing campaigns alongside Program Managers and the Communications Officer. Campaigns focus on the AboutFace mission and addressing systemic barriers.
- Mentoring, coaching, and supporting the Communications Officer in various work areas, including social media, annual reports, traditional media, cases for support, and program promotion.
- In collaboration with the Communications Officer, developing strategic communication plans and advancing the implementation of the plans annually.
- Helping build a culture of philanthropy alongside the senior leadership and the Fund Development Committee.
- Other tasks related to advancing the organization's strategic goals in relation to fund development and communications.
- A minimum of 3 years of fundraising experience.
- A minimum of 2 years of communications experience.
- Detailed understanding of tax receipting rules and guidelines.
- Excellent relationship-building skills.
- Excellent and practical communication skills.
- Understanding of budgets.
- A dedication to teamwork and collaboration.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and understanding of web-based tools, including WordPress, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and donor management systems.
- Strong project management skills, with proven experience overseeing large projects and managing project teams.
- Time management and organizational skills and the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet tight deadlines
- Access to a car and a valid license are seen as an asset.
- Bilingualism is seen as an asset.

**Salary**: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Toronto, ON M5T 1A4
