Your mission is to help us spread creative thinking beyond existing industry practices for our exciting new projects, and play a key role in seeing them through to completion.

**In this role, responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Participate and/or facilitate Design Thinking, brainstorming sessions with our users and various stakeholders within the organization
- Conduct walkthroughs of requirements, business logic and workflows of items in varying complexities, with different business and technology stakeholders in various levels to ensure comprehension and feasibility of requirements
- Produce or assist with of a variety of business/systems analysis artifacts including:

- Business case / proposal
- Create requirements documents in the form of user stories (Jira) and maintain a knowledge base (Confluence)
- Product backlog / user stories and epics
- Contribute to and implement Roadmap/backlog
- Acceptance Criteria
- Use case documents
- QA Team Test Scenarios/Results Review
- Data models; current/future state flow diagrams
- Presentations for requirement/solution walkthroughs
- Exhibit confidence and an extensive knowledge of emerging industry practices when solving business problems
- Ability to work through the undefined/unknown
- Support other Product Analysts and BSAs and Engineers as needed
- Conduct and support UAT testing
- Financial service domain knowledge, preferably in insurance
- Facilitate gathering inputs for detailing this requirements from stakeholders through various techniques
- Research for supporting the decisions being made in roadmap
- Support our team’s innovation agenda
- Participate in industry horizon scans and conduct competitive research
- Liaise with other teams - marketing, customer, UW, brokers, etc

So are YOU our next Product Analyst? You are if you
- Have a University degree in a relevant field such as Business, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or IT and/or engineering with relevant work experience
- Have 2+ years working as a product analyst, business analyst or product based role within the financial services industry
- Have strong analytical skills with the ability to manipulate a wide variety of data using SQL and/or other appropriate tools
- Have expertise in Reporting, Visualization, and Analytics using tools such as MS Power BI, SAS, Julia, R, Python
- Have strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to translate data into meaningful insights
- Are a self-starter with a high energy and desire to work in a results-oriented, fast-growing environment
- Have experience in facilitating meetings, documentation, conducting interviews to elicit and write complete and detailed requirements.
- Have an understanding of business, data, process, and object-oriented analysis and modeling techniques.
- Have strong interpersonal, communication, documentation, conflict resolution and expectation/relationship management skills
- Have a commitment to requirements and management practices with ability to control project scope creep and mitigate project risks and constraints

- Have completed or are pursuing Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP®) designation Canadian Securities Course (CSC®), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO®), Certified Scrum Master (CSM®), Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP®) or equivalent
- Have knowledge in financial services industry
