Reporting to the Manager, Employment and Community Programs, with dotted line accountability to Marketing & Communications, the Outreach & Communications Advisor is accountable for providing strategic leadership by developing, executing and reporting on outreach plans for the National and Provincial Program portfolio. This dynamic role will ensure that participant targets are met by managing an outreach budget and executing marketing and communications campaigns for each program and/or initiative.

**In this role, you will**:

- Develop strategic outreach plans through the creation of scope documents, and detailed campaign briefs that include comprehensive budgets and timelines.
- Manage relationships with external vendor agencies and ensure deadlines are being met in a consistent and timely manner.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (program leads and stakeholders, digital marketing team, graphic designers, external communications, etc.) to ensure timelines are met and outreach strategies are executed properly.
- Deliver timely and effective outreach plans that ensure program participants are receiving accurate and effective communication by choosing media channels that can reach the intended audience.
- Provide management reports on performance of paid outreach campaigns that include an analysis of communication tactics and initiatives.
- Create communication collateral including but not limited to videos, presentations, flyers, brochures, invites, handouts, etc.
- Lead the creation of detailed wrap reports for each outreach project that shows the strategy, the approach, the timeline, the budget, the results and recommendations for the future.
- Provide administrative support including invoice processing, budgeting, and preparing wrap reports.
- Demonstrate appropriate behaviors in line with our Mission, Vision and Values as reflected in our YMCA competencies; take a member focused approach to increase their understanding of programs offered across the Association. Represent the YMCA and the Association in a professional manner.
- Understand the legal responsibilities and moral imperative to report suspected child abuse to Child Protection Services.
- Understand the importance of the volunteer staff partnership and integrate the value of philanthropy and volunteerism in dealings with members, volunteers, donors and staff.
- Other duties as assigned.

**You bring**:

- College Diploma or University Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business Administration or related discipline or equivalent experience
- 3 years of related experience is required
- Experience in developing and implementing outreach plans, and multi-channel communication & marketing campaigns
- Experience managing multiple budgets at once
- Experience or significant interest in: marketing, planning, advertising, copywriting, lead generation, presentations, project management, cross-organizational communication, social media, print, digital, and public relations
- Experience with paid media channels including but not limited to Google Adwords, Meta, Tik Tok, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.
- Excellent written communication skills
- Self-motivation and an ability to works well independently
- Ability to work well under pressure, across multiple projects, with multiple deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong and creative problem solving skills
- Well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills; ability to establish rapport and excellent communication with members, staff, and volunteers
- Commitment to working in a socially inclusive environment responding with sensitivity and personal awareness to the diverse needs of members including visible and non-visible dimensions of diversity
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Proficient in project management dashboards (e.g. Smart sheet)
- Excellent understanding of diversity, inclusion and equity including the ability to identify and address barriers, work effectively with diverse stakeholders, and integrate equity into program design
