**Overview of Role**
- Preserve and improve the functionality and appearance of all the physical spaces within the club
- Ensure all club owned equipment is maintained, repaired and serviced regularly
- Lead all minor and major renovations and improvement projects within the club
- Respond to and problem-solve all emergencies relating to the club’s physical spaces
- Oversee housekeeping team and ensure they deliver excellent service and maintain high cleanliness standards

**Major/Specific Responsibilities**
- Manage the housekeeping team (hiring, training, weekly meetings, scheduling, etc.)
- Ensure all areas of the club are adhering to CGoC’s high standards of cleanliness
- Inspect all areas of club regularly and schedule deep and/or specialized cleaning as needed
- Monitor daily housekeeping operations and develop and communicate cleaning standards
- Create and manage daily task lists for all team members, adjusting to cover deficiencies
- Receive member feedback and address issues to ensure positives outcomes
- Manage the ordering of all requisite parts, tools, cleaning products, locker room amenities, etc.
- Operate, maintain and monitor the club’s rooftop HVAC units
- Operate, maintain and monitor the club’s pool, hot tubs and steam rooms
- Operate, maintain and monitor all other mechanical and electrical equipment
- Conduct minor repairs and maintenance with help of in-house team (based on competency)
- Foster and manage relationships with all trades to conduct maintenance and repairs within the club
- Review quotes and verify scope of work for all trade work within the club, invoice tracking
- Manage all repair and maintenance work and assist with planning and executing major club renovations
- Prepare and follow an annual operational plan and budget with monthly reporting
- Conduct monthly club tours with Membership Director to ensure consistent high-level look of club
- Participate in club management meetings and other departmental/company meetings as needed

**Working Relationships/Contacts**
- Reports directly to the General Manager
- Manage team of approximately 10 staff
- Establish and maintain working relationships with all departmental managers and key staff
- Establish and maintain communication with Property Managers at the other 2 clubs
- Establish and maintain relationships with key contractors, trades people and landlord representatives

**Qualifications/Requirements/Knowledge/Experience/Skills**
- Minimum 2 years’ of experience as a building operator or similar position
- Building Environmental System (BES) Certifications 1 & 2
- Experience in pool and spa operations (certification is a plus)
- Experience working with HVAC systems including Building Automation System (BAS)
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures including shower stall and washroom maintenance
- Minimum of basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical maintenance and repair
- Minimum of basic knowledge of pumps and control operations
- Minimum of basic knowledge of trades work
- Ability to comprehend base building plans and schematics
- Knowledge of audio and visual systems is a plus

**Working Conditions/Hours**
- Scheduled as standard Monday to Friday, 40-hour work week
- On-call for emergencies (phone and in-person as required)
- Some evening and weekend work as required
- Combination of desk work with some walking, climbing, kneeling, etc.
