Piano Sales Specialist

Merriam Music is a multi-location, family-owned business based in Oakville, Ontario. The business operates two primary sales divisions, one focused on music education, one on piano retail. **Required Experience**:
- Some experience playing an instrument, piano preferably, at _any _level
- Post-secondary education of any discipline
- At least 5 years of prior work experience, with available references
- Fluency with current cloud productivity software and basic workflows
**Preferred Experience**:
- At least 2 years of sales experience (inside or outside)
- Comfortable playing piano in front of others, at a basic to intermediate level
**Accountabilities**:
1. Assist and sell to customers (walk-ins, callers, leads generated through online marketing, school clients, etc.) to make an educated decision about instrument
- Answer incoming phone calls, where you'll qualify and connect with customers
- Assist walk-ins with questions. Provide them with a thorough sales presentation based on their area of interest.
- Develop and manage a pipeline of sales prospects in line with company policies and systems
2. Understand Merriam Music product offerings and market positioning at an expert level
3. Ability to work at any Merriam Pianos location when required
- Currently there are 3 locations: Oakville, Vaughan and Toronto
4. Participate in professional development
- Participate in ongoing training and development
- Participate in weekly team meetings to strategize reaching sales targets through promotions and initiatives
