**JOB SUMMARY**
The Production Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the production department. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of production, including cook production, smoking, meat production, scheduling, data-driven results, key performance indicators (KPIs), continuous improvement initiatives, and quality checks. The Production Manager will lead a team of supervisors and production staff, setting and achieving production goals while maintaining the highest quality standards.

**ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**
Production Scheduling:
- Develop and maintain production schedules that align with customer demand and inventory levels.
- Manage and coordinate all production activities within the cook and meat production rooms
- Coordinate with other departments, such as procurement and logistics, to ensure the timely availability of raw materials and finished products.
- Adjust production schedules as necessary to accommodate changing priorities or unforeseen issues.
Leading team and driving results:
- Lead, motivate, and mentor production leads and staff to achieve production targets.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement within the production team.
- Implement data-driven processes to optimize production efficiency and quality.
- Analyze production data, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track production performance.
- Report on KPIs and take action to address any areas that do not meet targets.
Labor Management:
- Effectively manage the allocation and utilization of production staff to meet production goals.
- Monitor labor costs and productivity, ensuring that labor resources are efficiently utilized.
- Plan and oversee workforce schedules, including shift assignments and overtime as needed.
- Provide training and development opportunities to enhance the skills and capabilities of production personnel.
Quality Control and Continuous Improvement:
- Establish and maintain rigorous quality control standards and procedures.
- Conduct regular quality checks to ensure products meet quality and safety standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in the production process.
- Identify and implement best practices to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure all production activities adhere to safety regulations and quality standards.
- Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
**ROLE QUALIFICATIONS**
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience of 4 years in food production management, preferably in the meat manufacturing industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of quality control procedures and best practices.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
