**Overview**:
BCLC’s two offices are located on the traditional, ancestral and unceded lands of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam Indian Band), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Peoples in Vancouver and the Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc territory, situated within the Secwépemc Nation in Kamloops. Our Operations Division manages both provincial & national lottery games as well as instant lotteries through over 3000 retail partners across the province. We provide the gaming technology and set standards, policies & procedures across 37 casino properties in BC, ensuring a high standard of security and integrity.

This team of passionate professionals with a diverse array of backgrounds is directly accountable for earning revenue for the province. **Job Summary**:
The Product Manager acts as the business expert and decision maker on the customer experience. They are the voice of the user, translating business and user needs into product requirements. They work directly with the stakeholders to define key user journeys, performance KPIs and SLAs to maximize business performance while minimizing internal operating costs.

At times the Product Manager may lead an Agile team in the Product Owner persona, which includes leading the mission and bringing the business vision to the product team. They maintain close interaction with the Agile product teams, key business stakeholders, enterprise enablement teams and supporting capability pods to ensure alignment.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Represents the voice of the user translating business and user needs into product requirements. As the business expert and decision maker on the customer experience, understands and communicates marketing requirements to vendors and internal development teams to support the growth of their products.
- Works with stakeholders to define key user journeys, performance KPIs and SLAs to maximize business performance while minimizing internal operating costs.
- Presents and shares a product vision to stakeholders across the organization and builds key cross-functional working relationships with to deliver long-term success of the solution.
- With the guidance of their manager, develops and maintains up to date technical and marketing product roadmaps based on customer needs and insights.
- With support from their manager, negotiates with leaders and other stakeholders to remove team impediments, issues and blockers, including escalating to the appropriate levels within the organization when they cannot be resolved at the team level.
- Produces high quality documentation with clear requirements for appropriate teams, writing and managing business cases for new projects as required, and partners with compliance and legal to prepare high quality regulatory facing documents as required.
- When working in the Product Owner persona:

- Defines and manages the product backlog collaborating with stakeholder groups across the organization to understand the business strategy and determine priorities. Leads the prioritization, planning and breakdown of the product teamwork in collaboration with the product team. With the support and direction of their Manager, leads the mission of the product team, continuously bringing forward opportunities to enhance the user experience and better manage business partnership relationships.
- Evaluates the outputs on behalf of stakeholders, including user acceptance of final product.
- Participates in the product team’s agile ceremonies such as planning sessions, stand-ups, retrospectives, and sprint review meetings.
