**ARCHER CRM is currently recruiting for full-time, permanent Field Directors (as per Bulletin**
**17) to conduct and lead Archaeological fieldwork at various office locations. ARCHER CRM**

**Job description
**Primary Responsibility**: To conduct and lead archaeological field work, and the appropriate
management of archaeological resources as identified during field assessments, meeting
ARCHER CRM and stakeholder standards, including but not limited to:
Archaeological field assessments in a supervisory capacity;
Adhere to ARCHER CRM OH&S & Quality Assurance programs;
Provide direction and mentoring to field Archaeologists;
Co-ordinate effectively with Crew Chief(s);
Co-ordinate with Project Lead Archaeologists, Projects Manager(s), and Directors to satisfy client

needs;
Facilitate communications between the Permit Holders (or their designates) and the field team;
On an as-needed basis, assist Project Lead(s) with project co-ordination;
Must be capable of working in a team, either in the capacity of leader, or in support of Project

Lead Archaeologists, Project Managers, and/or Permit Holders;
May involve frequent travel to other ARCHER offices & jobsites.

**Preference given to those with the following skills/experience:
Demonstrated ability to take effective field notes and accurate methods of field mapping;
Demonstrated ability to navigate using various tools such as compass and GPS;
Safe operation of vehicles, ATV, UTV, and/or snowmobiles is preferred for our northern offices;
Experience in the operation of equipment such as augers and cement saws is an asset;
Ability to work independently with mínimal guidance and in a team environment, co
- ordinating with Crew Chief(s) if present and taking direction from Project Managers and
Project Lead Archaeologists.

Demonstrated experience in a supervisory role

**Requirements:
**Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and a clean driving record;
Canadian Citizen, or legally eligible to work in Canada;
Consistent availability to work away from home office at remote job sites and offices;
Be a Branch-approved field director for one or more cultural regions in BC.
Undergraduate degree (B.A. or B.Sc.) or better in Archaeology and/or Anthropology;
A minimum of 360 working days of CRM/archaeological field experience.

**Preferred Certifications:
First Aid Level 1

**Remuneration: **
$36.00/hour - $40.00/hour commensurate with demonstrated experience.
