ARCHER CRM is now hiring **Archaeologists, Supervising Archaeologists, and Field Directors **for a variety of projects in northeast BC on a permanent, full-time, year-round basis. We are looking for applicants who are professionally driven and eager to continue to develop and expand their experience in BC Archaeology. Applicants will be based out of our Fort St John office location. This position requires a willingness and ability to travel. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking for field experience in new areas and to broaden their archaeological CRM skillset.

**Archaeologist Job Description - **To assist Supervising Archaeologists, Field Directors, and/or Project Lead Archaeologists in conducting Archaeological fieldwork, including but not limited to:
- Active participation in archaeological field assessments;
- Adhering to ARCHER CRM Corp’s OH&S and Quality Assurance programs;
- Acquiring field experience and knowledge from senior staff with the intention of taking on further responsibilities within the organization;
- Upon demonstrated ability, assist Field Director(s) and Supervising Archaeologists with any/all fieldwork tasks and responsibilities;
- Take advantage of opportunities to develop supervising skills for career advancement;
- Must have a B.A. in Archaeology/Anthropology, and a minimum of 260 working days (1 year) of experience in consulting archaeology or equivalent work (field schools included).
**Supervising Archaeologist Job Description - **To support Project Lead Archaeologists, Project Managers, and Field Directors in conducting and supervising archaeological field work, including but not limited to:
- Active participation in archaeological field assessments in supervisory capacity;
- Adhering to ARCHER CRM’s OH&S and Quality Assurance programs;
- Provide direction and mentorship to Archaeologists and Apprentice Archaeologists;
- Coordinate effectively with Crew Chief(s);
- Coordinate with Project Lead Archaeologists to satisfy client needs;
- On an as-needed basis, assist Project Manager(s) with project coordination;
- Demonstration of previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role in consulting archaeology is preferred.
**Field Director Job Description - **To conduct and lead archaeological field work, and the appropriate management of archaeological resources as identified during field assessments, including but not limited to:
- Archaeological field assessments in a supervisory capacity;
- Adhering to ARCHER CRM’s OH&S & Quality Assurance programs;
- Provide direction and mentoring to field Archaeologists;
- Co-ordinate effectively with Crew Chief(s);
- Co-ordinate with Project Lead Archaeologists, Projects Manager(s), and Directors to satisfy client needs;
- Facilitate communications between the Permit Holders (or their designates) and the field team;
- On an as-needed basis, assist Project Lead Archaeologists with project co-ordination;
- Must be capable of working in a team, either in the capacity of leader, or in support of Project Lead Archaeologists, Project Managers, and/or Permit Holders;
- Field Director in the Subarctic-Boreal Forest Culture Area as recognized by the BC Archaeology Branch.
**Preference will be given to those with the following skills/experience**:
- Demonstrated ability to take effective and quality field notes;
- Demonstrated ability to navigate;
- Archaeologist positions: basic understanding of lithic technology and mapping techniques, excavation experience is an asset;
