**OVERVIEW**
The Accounts Payable Administrator is responsible for the efficient execution of all Accounts Payable functions. This role interacts with several business units across all levels of the organization.
This is a 6 month temporary full-time opportunity with the potential for extension and to be made permanent.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Completes entries of invoices and expenses in a timely manner after the necessary approvals have been received.
- Ensure timely posting of invoices, vouchers, and check requests.
- Ensure accuracy of codes, while complying with set procedures.
- Examine and solve issues relating to purchase orders and processing of invoices.
- Reconciles processed work by verifying entries.
- Responsible for processing and issuing payments.
- Matches invoices with cheques for mailing on a weekly basis.
- Reconciling vendor statements.
- Research and resolve vendor inquiries as needed.
- Coordinates with departments to ensure receipt of documentation.
- Assist with reconciling month end balances
- All other duties as assigned by the Accounts Payable Supervisor
**QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED**:
- Flexibility to manage increased volume of work at month-end
- Solid interpersonal skills and an ability to work with others or independently
- Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
- Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills and ability to meet deadlines as required
- Intermediate level in Microsoft Excel is an asset
- Desire to take ownership of tasks assigned and willingness to learn
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset
**EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**:
- Minimum 1 year of related work experience in a high-volume environment
- Exposure to an ERP system (SAP, Kinetic/Epicor)
- Intermediate level in Microsoft Excel is an asset
