**Role Responsibilities**:

- The Land Use and IRMS Secretariats Branch is looking for an engaging, collaborative, and team-oriented leader that produces high quality work by encouraging their team to deliver their best and continually grow their capabilities. - Reporting to the Director, Governance and Reporting, you will lead a team that supports both the Land Use Secretariat and the IRMS Secretariat by:
- providing secretariat support to governance committees,
- leading tracking and progress reporting for regional plan implementation,
- providing project management leadership for the branch.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Providing secretariat services for meetings for multiple key tables of the IRM System and Land Use Framework, including establishment of agendas and materials that support active and candid discussions, and timely provision of records of discussion and follow-up on actions.
- Managing the tracking and reporting of progress made across multiple projects, including annual reporting on progress in implementing Land Use Framework regional plans.
- With the IRM Policy section, developing and implementing monitoring, performance measurement and reporting on specific IRM issues and projects, and overall IRM system performance.
- Collaborating with other units, branches and departments to provide strategic advice to the Director, Executive Director, Stewardship Commissioner, Assistant Deputy Ministers, Deputy Ministers and others.
- Communicating and championing IRMS objectives, protocols, and outcomes across the Government of Alberta.
- Contributing to the development and refinement of strategic plans for IRM and regional planning that foster shared accountabilities and role clarity.
- Identifying and proposing opportunities for innovation and improvement in IRM processes, driving continuous improvement of resource management practices.

**Qualifications**:

- University graduation in public policy, social science, science, engineering, business, or a related field related to the position assignment, supplemented by three years related experience in integrated program / project planning and reporting, committee governance, facilitation, and coordination of diverse stakeholder groups into a common direction.
- Related experience or education may be considered as an equivalency on a one for one basis.
- **Required**:

- Well-developed communication and change management skills for diverse audiences.
- Management experience with responsibility for human and financial resources.
- Strong political acumen and judgment to provide strategic advice to senior leaders on complex and sensitive issues of significant impact, and the ability to translate essential information into action and recommendations.
