Project Management Coordinator and make an impact in our community?


This role will incorporate the goals of the Strategic Plan into the following; internal agency communications planning and collaborative process mapping.

The Project Coordinator will build organizational capacity through developing robust processes which ensure accountability and contribute to sound governance; will establish and implement strategic and business plan initiatives which support the achievement of Bissell Centre's broader strategic and operational goals.


Key Responsibilities

Process Improvement

  • Work with leadership and individual departments to improve agency wide processes.
  • Ensure that process maps are developed in accordance with, and follow the collaborative process improvement platform
  • Develop and implement a framework for identifying, selecting and monitoring progress of process improvements.
  • Coordinates a process audit to support the Chief Operations Officer in keeping the processes up to date.

Accountability

  • Work with Leadership and Management Teams to create and maintain a culture of accountability in the areas of finance, administration, and operations.
  • Develop management and employee accountabilities program based on the Delegation of Authority Framework. This Framework defines levels of decision making authority.

Internal Communications Strategy
Regularly scan and assess communications protocols within Bissell Centre. Lead efforts to address issues and gaps and identify opportunities to optimize communication.

Process Improvement Instructor

  • Lead our internal training program by developing, designing, and delivering training of Bissell Centre's internal collaborative process improvement course material.
  • Provide support in the development of training material and resources across the organization (e.g. guides, onepagers, videos, LMS content)
  • Provide ongoing support to our leadership and individual departments through feedback delivery, making timely updates on training materials, and providing coaching as necessary.

Executive Initiatives and Administrative Supports

  • Provide administrative and projectfocused support to the Manager, Administration and Director, Administration to help advance organizational strategic goals and objectives, as required.
  • Make recommendations and suggest ongoing improvements.
  • May act as advisor on administrative matters to senior management.
  • Prepare reports, memos, and other documents, as directed.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Other duties and projects as required.

Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities

  • 3+ years experience in project coordination from conception to completion
  • Prior experience preferred in an instruction, instructional design, or learning development role
  • Six Sigma training/experience preferred
  • Excellent resource, planning and time management skills
  • Prior experience in Power Automate in Sharepoint preferred but not required

Software Usage Proficiency: Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office capability. Virtual collaboration capabilities.

Sector Knowledge an Asset: Familiarity with issues of poverty and Edmonton's urban core and knowledge of relevant community and government resources.
