**Step 1 Salary**: $30.33 per hour / Step 2 Salary: $33.68 per hour
Please note that progression from Step 1 to Step 2 typically occurs after twelve (12) consecutive months from the date in which an employee starts in an established position.

**Summary of Duties**:
Reporting to the Manager, Payroll and Benefits, the Payroll and Benefits Administrator is responsible for accurately preparing and processing the unionized and non-union payrolls, and for the administration of the benefits programs, for all employees, in compliance with contractual and legislative guidelines.
**Required Qualifications and Experience**:
Grade 12 Graduation or equivalent
CPA PCP Certification
Minimum of 2 years recent payroll experience, in a unionized organization, covering the full range of payroll and benefits administration
Current knowledge of federal and provincial legislation and regulations related to payroll
Excellent organizational and time management skills, attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
Ability to analyze, interpret, problem solve and use judgement
Minimum keyboarding speed of 40 wpm
OR an equivalent combination of training and experience
**Desired Qualifications and Experience**:
Knowledge of School District software
Knowledge of School District operations and collective agreements
Successful applicants not currently employed by West Vancouver Schools are required to sign a “consent for Criminal Record Search” to permit a criminal record review.
