**Maintenance Lead (Full Time, Permanent)**

**Work location: Our Ponderosa, Lambton Shores, Ontario**

**$19-21/hour**

Reporting to the Resort Manager, the Maintenance Lead will oversee and initiate maintenance and general repairs for the property and fulfill the company's responsibilities to its customers and visitors
**.**

**This is a full time, permanent position that includes a base pay, health and medical benefits with almost all premiums paid by the company, GRRSP retirement contribution matching, wellness days and volunteer days.**

NOTE: Due to the nature of this position, it requires an on-site presence and does not qualify for any present or future work from home. There will be some weekend work required.

**What you will be doing**:

- Customer Relations_
- Deliver exceptional customer service
- Be a positive role model for staff and lead by example
- Build solid brand recognition for the property based on delivery of service
- Ensure safe environment for residents and employees
- Provide ongoing communication with the Resort Manager and inform of any and all pertinent activities within the communities on a daily basis
- Participate in weekly and monthly meetings with the Resort Manager
- Responsible for maintaining the required property uniform and ensuring a professional appearance and attitude at all times
- Personnel Management_
- Assist in hiring, training and supervision of maintenance staff as required
- Organize staff through proper checks
- Schedule and manage maintenance staff (seasonal) and contractors when applicable
- Ensure all maintenance staff members understand standards and comply with company policies and procedures

- Property Operations_
- Facilitate and coordinate all maintenance, general repairs and usage of equipment, in common areas only. This includes maintenance and management of the sewer, water and electrical systems
- Assist in snow removal from roads and driveways and grass cutting throughout all common areas of the communities along with other maintenance tasks as requested by the Resort Manager.
- Facilitate all aspects of pool and Recreation Centre maintenance and cleaning, including daily pool chemical checks are completed
- Participate in any projects set forth by Parkbridge operations, including capital projects
- Complete other miscellaneous administrative duties: i.e. Updating Preventative Maintenance Schedules, Implementation of policies and procedures or various tasks as assigned by the Resort Manager
- Regularly attend meetings when required
- Promote and maintain a positive working relationship with all local business partners and stake-holders

- Financial_
- Assist in preparing the annual property maintenance budgets
- Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded and tracked (PO system)
- Procure goods and services according to protocols established by management
- Adhere to the travel policy guidelines and ensure costs are kept within the policy regulations
- Any monies received for scrapped metal must be provided to the Resort Manager who will deposit it into the Parkbridge funds
- Health and Safety_
- Lead the Health & Safety Standards Program for the maintenance staff
- Ensure all property activities are conducted in a safe and environmentally responsible manner
- Ensure that all property facilities are maintained in safe condition
- Immediately notify management when operations are unsafe and/or beyond normal repair
- Ensure all employees are trained on the property safety procedures and are proficient in the use of its safety equipment

**What you bring to the table**:

- Demonstrated leadership experience - ideally 3 years plus
- Must have valid G-class driver’s license; Clean Driver’s Abstract required
- On-call availability for sewer, water, and park emergencies
- Water operator certification an asset
- Able to work weekends, days, nights and call-in during emergencies
