**This position is Onsite in Ottawa, Ontario**
Our **DXC Modern Workplace services enables customers' employees** to easily find, understand and engage with IT and their colleagues anytime, anywhere and on any device. We empower a personalized experience that enables employees to work seamlessly and securely.
**As an IT Technician, you will** provide support to customers including installation, and servicing and repairing systems and equipment.
**What you will do**:
- **Provide Tech Support **to customers including installation, and servicing and repairing systems and equipment.
- **Verify **and approve operational quality of system equipment.
- **Resolve customer issues** in the areas of hardware installation, repair, upgrade and maintenance.
- **Assist **in investigating and resolving complex installations and maintenance matters of significance.
- **Instruct **customers in the operation and maintenance of systems/equipment.
- **Ensure **issues are referred to the appropriate personnel/service areas for follow up, testing and troubleshooting.
**Who you are/Basic requirements**:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. **or related experience.**:
- **5 to 10 years of technical Desktop/Field Support.**:
- Experience working with company products and operating systems such as **Windows**.
- **Experience with ticket systems like** (ServiceNow, Jira, Remedy is a plus).
- **Experience with solving computer** related problems
- Experience working with company escalation policy.
- Interpersonal and communication skills to interact with customers and team members.
- **Organization** skills to balance and prioritize work.
- **Analytical** and **problem solving skills**.
- _**Have lived and worked in Canada for the last 10 years.**_

Pay: $45,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
