**Purpose**
Contributes to the overall success of the Payment Processing department of Scotia Dealer Advantage in Canada ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
**Accountabilities**
- Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
- Perform accounts payable entry function by: effectively and efficiently initiating the payment entry of vendor invoices, employee expense reports, and other payables and remittances as needed; ensuring GL accounts and approval authority limits are correct; entering EFT returns; updating SDA’s authorization signature list annually; updating corporate credit card holder list; sending communication reminders to corporate credit card holders; performing all other duties as assigned.
- Perform the bank reconciliation function by: ensuring that bank reconciliation procedures are carried out in accordance with bank policies and standards; following up with other departments to obtain adequate backup/information; providing assistance as needed to accountants responsible for reconciling operations in order to meet departmental needs; completing a sample review of scanned documents as required.
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.

**Education / Experience / Other Information**
- Degree, diploma or certificate in an accounting or finance program an asset but not required.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize.
- A high degree of flexibility is required to adapt to a variety of tasks and functions.
- Working knowledge and practical experience with Microsoft Office.
**Working Conditions**
- Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are not a common occurrence.
