**Job Title**: Inventory Control Analyst

Reporting to the Supervisor, the Inventory Control Analyst is responsible to coordinate and perform daily cycle counts and manage inventory accuracy for the site. The analyst is responsible to investigate and resolve discrepancies and make the necessary adjustments in system.

**POSITION RESPONSIBILITES**:
Daily Inventory Cycle Counts
- Oversee daily cycle counts in conjunction with cycle counter to investigate and resolve issues as needed.
- Monitor and report inventory variance issues, document all inventory discrepancies and adjust records.
- Obtain the required approval and process adjustments in the system.
- Report inventory accuracy and location accuracy for the daily meeting and trend monthly and YTD results.

Inventory Analysis
- Monitor and coordinate “balanced out” inventories (e.g., those items affected by changes in artwork design and changes in material or shape).
- Use a problem-solving method to determine root cause and prevent reoccurrence of inventory accuracy problems.
- Review mold management report to flag any potential warehouse utilization risks to scheduling team
- Optimize inventory control procedures and partner with IT to develop and enhance inventory reporting
- Perform User Acceptance testing for technology developments related to inventory data and systems
- Analyze and process inventory obsolescence
- Review slow moving and obsolete inventory and collaborate with cross functional departments to minimize waste
- Monitor Intercompany transfers on weekly basis and resolve discrepancies
- Collaborate with US site and cross functional departments to benchmark best practices and drive continuous improvement in processes, controls and efficiency.
- Lead physical count of inventory when deemed necessary.

Pallet Management and Materials Planning
- Maintain optimum levels of pallet and material inventories.
- Conduct daily count of pallet inventory and reconcile with Finance to maintain accurate records
- Liaise with Accounting, Sales and Customer Service to confirm customer on hand inventories and collection of pallets.
- Review on hand inventories of pallets and place orders as required.
- Daily review of cardboard box, labels and shrink sleeve inventories
- Act as backup for day shift Lead to manage pallet rental charge reconciliation

Other
- Participate in the Continuous Improvement Program.
- Complete special projects as required.
- Must follow food safety and cGMP processes and procedures - training is provided

**SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**:
**Educational Requirements**: Post-secondary education, preferably in Inventory Control

**Minimum Experience/Field**: Minimum 2 years of inventory control experience in a fast paced, high volume lean manufacturing environment. Experience in plastics and/or food packaging industry preferred

**Physical Requirements**: Must be able to stand for long periods of time for manufacturing related activities including physical inventory and cycle counts.

**Communication Skills**: Proven track record working with people and problem resolution and strong interpersonal, collaboration skills

**Additional Education/Experience/Skills**: Experience with Procure to Pay systems would be a plus
