Property Compliance Specialist

**About the Position**:
Reporting to the Manager, Property Compliance, the Property Compliance Specialist has a passion for achieving superior customer satisfaction results both internal and external. The applicant must be highly motivated, reliable, and strives to create a high level of satisfaction by providing total solutions to various inquiries.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- As a key member of the Property Compliance team, the PCS will execute operational initiatives across the organization.
- Works collaboratively, with the site teams and Regional team members to address, investigate and resolve property compliance related issues where possible.
- Reviews Hazelnet (extranet) content and ensures regions/departments are adhering to the Hazelnet governance standards.
- Provides support and training to Hazelnet content owners
- Ensures Hazelnet’s Resource Hub contains the most up-to-date operational procedures/policies, leveraging the workflow automation tool.
- Audits the portfolio to ensure collection files have been sent to agencies. Engages relevant individuals to obtain missing information.
- Audits the portfolio to ensure suite inspections have been completed. Provides support and training to TMs on the inspections module.
- Summarizes and distributes various AR and collections reporting.
- Audits the administration of all Hazelview’s residential units to ensure accuracy of portfolio files by utilizing available reports such as the rent roll, rentable items, gross potential rent and rent ready reports. Engages relevant individuals to obtain missing information.
- Provides support on the branded apparel program including creating POs and assisting in website support
- Assists with the preparation of resident increase notices, renewals and AGI.
- Assists in creating custom reports to enhance property compliance functions.
- Assists in the execution and maintenance of National property certification (BOMA best, CRB)
- Completion of any ad hoc assignments as needed
**Education and Experience**:
- Working towards a business degree
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Property Management
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Yardi knowledge and experience would be an asset
**Qualifications**:
- Excellent analytical skills
- Superior attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness
- Demonstrates a high degree of integrity, diplomacy, discretion, and confidentiality
- Self-motivated individual who is proactive, takes initiative, goal and results oriented and work independently without a lot of direction
- Proven track record in building and maintaining effective working relationships and credibility with both internal and external parties
- Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Flexible with a “can-do” attitude and a “no task is too big or too small” attitude
- Excellent communication is required. Ability to speak other languages is considered an asset
