**Position Summary**

Reporting to the Director, Employment and Settlement Services, the Supervisor, Employer Engagement and Partnership is responsible for building value-added high level partnerships with business to promote and execute inclusive hiring. The Supervisor develops strategies and action plans for the employment team to meet the needs of job seekers and work effectively and in alignment with labour market demands and priorities. They are also responsible for building on the existing partnerships and leveraging Dixon Hall’s resources, building a strategy to engage new employers’ partners, developing proposals for new funding opportunities for government and other agencies and ultimately driving maximum growth from partner audiences.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

Employer Engagement and Outreach
- Develop and implement an employer engagement strategy in collaboration with Manager, Employment and Settlement Services and Supervisor, Community Engagement and Outreach assisting in growing and deepening Dixon Hall’s relationships with employers by connecting them to various resources and solutions.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employers, responding to inquiries, addressing concerns, and providing excellent customer service to business across various sectors and industries to promote the value of inclusive hiring and expand recruitment of people with multiple barriers.
- Link hiring demand to qualified talent pool and build community capacity to support job seekers and employees who may be experiencing various barriers.
- Engage directly with employers in the private, public, and not-for-profit sectors to support the department’s employer engagement efforts to expand job placement, hiring and on the job training opportunities.
- Work in collaboration with outreach team to organize networking, information events and deliver trainings for business leaders and employers.
- Develop department’s knowledge base by collecting and documenting impact stories, testimonies of successful hires.
- Manage day to day activities of Dixon Hall employer engagement team, tracking all employer engagement initiatives, maintaining accurate records and reporting.
- Work collaboratively with the employment team to oversee and support events, workshops, job fairs, networking events and others.
- Represent the Employment and Settlement Services on relevant stakeholder platforms.

Business Development and Resource Mobilization
- Assess employment services client demographics and identify clients for tailored programming and support.
- Work cross-functionally with the agency’s staff and marketing and outreach team to build and expand marketing opportunities.
- Expand partnership and bring greater visibility to DHES work by utilizing agencies media and promotions channels, working closely with communication department and by effective use of social media platforms.
- Constantly search for new funding opportunities for DHES and make recommendations and contribute for proposal development with extended partnerships and programs.
- Participates in all relevant departmental meetings and presents and prepares reports and information on specific areas of work when required.

- Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g., Human Resources, Business, Communications, Marketing, Social Services, Education) or equivalent experience.
- Three years of experience in employer engagement
- Five or more years’ experience working in supervisory role and business development.
- Demonstrated knowledge of local labour market issues and trends.
- Experience in employment equity, diversity, and inclusion is an asset.
- Excellent presentation, facilitation, and public speaking skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Applications and client relationship management software. Demonstrated attitude for learning new online systems and tools.
- Demonstrated experience in proposal development for funding purposes and success in resource mobilization in dollar value.
- Five or more years delivering trainings, workshops, webinars, addressing the areas such as labour market trends, customer matching and marketing techniques, responding to job searching clients.
- Documented experience establishing partnerships with business, employers, educational institutions and governments: must demonstrate contacts in the business and labour communities.
- Proven experience working with unemployed, underemployed, homeless and other vulnerable population; exhibited knowledge of the challenges facing individuals with significant barriers to entering the labour market.
