**The Housing Liaison **is responsible for sourcing and developing relationships with local landlords to participate in CUPS Key Case Management housing program. This position works closely with Key Case Workers and their clients, assessing individual client needs and sourcing available & appropriate rental units. The Housing locator/landlord liaison will act as a support for the landlord/tenant relationships by supporting the initial rental process and navigate potential conflicts or issues that arise throughout the tenancy.

**Leadership**:

- Develops and maintains strong community and landlord partnerships across city to engage them in the Key Case Management Housing program
- Expertly navigate conflicts upholding the integrity, dignity and needs of all parties involved
- Facilitate a healthy and safe work environment through learning and enacting all CUPS health & safety protocols, while maintaining an active awareness of clients and colleagues
- Promote a culture that reflects CUPS vision, mission, philosophies and values

**Organizational Alignment and Performance**:

- Support client transition to permanent housing via accompanying client and landlord for initial walk-throughs, lease signing, assist in coordination of moving in support when needed
- Co-create goals with families to maintain housing, supporting the implementation and maintenance of goals via regular check-ins with support and resources
- Accurately enter all required data points in organizational & external databases regarding initial intake, assessments, outcomes. Ensuring all case notes and daily states are entered in coordination with Key Case Worker
- Provide integrated, wrap around support for clients by working in concert with Key Case workers, attending case conferences, liaising with other community programs to connect clients to further resources

**Stakeholder Relations**:

- Develop and maintain collaborative and accountable working relations with internal CUPS colleagues to strengthen communication flow and cross-program understanding
- Provide caring, reliable, trauma-informed care to all clients accessing CUPS to reduce barriers to service and increase community trust
- Share experience and knowledge with students, volunteers and guests interested in CUPS services to further develop CUPS social justice impact & external ambassador network

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Services (Social Work/Psychology) with 2-3 year experience or Diploma in Human Services with 3-5 years’ experience within the vulnerable sector
- In-depth knowledge of Calgary social and government services, with previous experience working with Alberta Works, AISH and Calgary Housing
- Excellent conflict resolution & problem solving skills with demonstrated experience in managing high conflict discussions
- Previous experience working in independent/outreach positions preferred
- Demonstrated skill working effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Knowledge and understanding of client service outcome tracking and previous experience with client assessment tools a benefit
- Proficiency in client databases (ex. FCSS, HMIS, etc.) considered an asset
- Must have class 5 driver’s license and vehicle to use for work purposes
