**ABOUT THE ROLE**

The **Manager, Intake and Autism Services** is a full-time contract role for eight (8) months, which will lead a team of mental health and autism intake workers who provide access to services and organize groups to deliver skill building programs to children and their families. Maintain waitlists for mental health and autism services including parent education to parents waiting for Autism Services. As part of the management team, Manager, Intake and Autism Services supports the vision, mission and values of the Organization and is responsible for providing clinical and administrative supervision to intake services.

**_ Salary range: _**_$79,422.00 to $92,488.00 per annum._

**WHAT YOU WILL DO**
- Oversee the day-to-day functioning of autism and mental health intake, ensuring clients are serviced.
- Communicate organizational and program goals to their team and ensure individual goals are tied to the achievement of broader objectives.
- Resolve employee issues through appropriate policies and conflict resolution skills conducting investigations where appropriate.
- Oversee a team of intake workers and manage waitlists so that clients are serviced efficiently and in a timely manner.
- Clinically and administratively supervise the delivery of intake services and supports to parents with children, youth and adults with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families.
- Assist in the development and support the implementation of parent education and support services for waitlist services.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with parents, community service organizations, other autism service providers and mental health stakeholders.
- Plan, prepare and submit accurate, timely service statistics as required.
- Participate in the planning, implementation and delivery of services to meet client and family needs.
- Recognize, identify and report problems, contentious issues and serious incidents and recommend solutions to the manager where appropriate.
- Assist in the development of autism program policies and review, revise and develop procedures and practices to meet operational requirements.
- Provide administrative oversight for team and participate in organization wide committees, meetings and management team.

**THE “MUST HAVES”**

The following education, professional memberships and knowledge are a requirement for this role:

- Undergraduate Degree in Behavioural Science or Psychology.
- 5 years of experience in direct clinical intervention with children and families.
- Minimum 1-year supervisory experience and understanding of management theories and practices.
- Professional registration with a regulatory body (CRPO, RSW or RP).
- Knowledge of the community served by the Organization: and a demonstrated understanding of access and equity issues; and awareness and sensitivity to diversity in the workplace and within the community.
- A thorough understanding of principles and conceptual issues of ABA.
- Ability to examine and analyze data from a variety of available resources to draw valid conclusions.
- Knowledge of human resource management and effective labour relations.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous quality improvement and adaptation to change.

**THE ‘NICE TO HAVES’**
- Knowledge of the mission statement, mandate, objectives, strategic priorities, policies and procedures, standards and organizational structure of various departments.
- Demonstrate commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
- Fluency in another language(s), including sign language.
- A valid Ontario Driver’s License with access to the use of a vehicle would be an asset.
