**The opportunity**:This role is responsible for the full cycle management of the Canadian Benefit and Pension Plan and will have one direct report, the Benefits Administrator. This role works closely with the People and Talent team and Managers across BGO to ensure a positive employee experience with a focus on driving engagement and supporting employees through excellent customer service.

**What you will do**:

- Provide guidance and leadership to Benefit Administrator
- Responsible for the day-to-day administration, audit and maintenance of Benefits and Pension plans, ensuring data integrity and compliance with our Service Partners and Providers.
- Manage relationships with our Service Partners and Providers
- Manage and prepare pension and benefit related reporting
- Ensure the operational procedures and workflows are kept up to date with a focus on always improving efficiency and productivity while maximizing our HR Management System, UKG
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements as they pertain to the pension and benefit programs.
- Reconcile and process monthly premium invoices
- Stay up to date with industry trends and present options to enhance our employee experience
- Lead our annual bonus to RSP transfer process
- Organize employee education sessions related to benefits and pension
- Work with various teams to design develop and implement benefits related processes and workflows
- Provide plan beneficiaries information regarding their rights and responsibilities alone with required documentation
- Manage the Short Term and Long Term disability claims and Maternity and Parental Leaves (going on and returning from leave)
- Manage workers compensation forms ensuring they are submitted in a timely manner to the appropriate provincial office
- Manage relationships with People and Talent Business Partners and Disability Case Managers
- Manage and prepare all reports related to leaves
- Provide support to the Pension Committee including organizing quarterly meetings

**Who you are**:

- 5-7 Years Experience in the field of group benefits with at least 1 year management experience as Team Lead, Supervisor or Manager in the Benefit and Pension world
- You have strong analytical, problem solving and data management skills
- You have excellent customer service skills
- You have the ability to coordinate and prioritize several deliverables
- Strong excel skills
- **Police Clearance**:A criminal verification check is required for employment.
