The estimated salary for this role is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Canadian Payroll Expert to join our team. As a key member of our payroll department, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate processing of bi-weekly payroll for our Canadian employees. This includes managing employee status changes, benefit deductions, taxable benefits, leaves of absence, new hires, transfers, terminations, and other payroll-related entries.

You will also stay up-to-date with changes in Canadian payroll legislation and regulations, ensuring compliance with local laws and tax requirements. Additionally, you will process and submit Records of Employment to Service Canada each pay period, prepare for year-end audits, and maintain accurate records.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field, along with 2-5 years of progressive Canadian payroll experience or equivalent
  • Completion of National Payroll Institute PCP certification (or working towards it) is required
  • Experience with payroll processing systems (e.g., Oracle HCM, ADP Global View, ADP eTime)
  • Knowledgeable on Canadian short-term disability and maternity leaves
  • Deep understanding and experience with Canadian Year-end processes and reporting requirements
