Patient Coordinator

Courtenay, Canada THE JOINT PHYSIOTHERAPY & SPORTS INJURY CENTRE Full time

Working administrative position at very busy Physiotherapy Clinic.

**Responsibilities**:

- Greet and check-in patients upon arrival
- Schedule appointments
- Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries
- Verify insurance coverage and assist with insurance claims processing
- Collect and update patient information in electronic medical records systems (Jane.)
- Assist with patient billing and payment processing
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area as well as cleaning rooms, laundry, clinic organizing.

We also have a large therapy pool that requires testing and maintenance.

**Requirements**:

- Strong administrative skills, and electronic medical records experience is beneficial but not necessary
- Flexible availability
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, very friendly
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with phone systems and handling patient inquiries
- Attention to detail and accuracy in managing patient information

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual

**Salary**: From $18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 20 per week

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Morning shift
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Courtenay, BC V9N 1N3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Dental receptionist: 1 year (preferred)
