**Role Summary**
- The Americas HR team is searching for our next HR Generalist This position has a strong emphasis on both HR operations and business partnership. If you’re looking for the opportunity to be involved in multiple areas of HR and thrive in evolving and dynamic environments, we want to meet you

While this position will mostly be remote, there is an expectation for regular in-office attendance during the onboarding period. After the onboarding period, this is a hybrid position with the expectation for periodic work out of our downtown Vancouver office as needed.

**What You Will Do**:

- Support global and regional HR Business Partners, across different time zones, with delivering HR solutions and initiatives.
- Collaborate with business leaders to understand their objectives and provide proactive HR support.
- Develop, implement, and maintain regional HR programs in compliance with employment laws and regulations.
- Act as a key contact for HR-related inquiries and represent the HR team to our employees.
- Partner with the global HR team, including HR Centers of Excellence, to implement and support company-wide programs and initiatives.
- Manage confidential and sensitive employee relations matters, including but not limited to: performance management, conflict resolution, and investigations.
- Drive continuous improvement towards streamlining processes and improving efficiency in HR operations.
- Manage our Canada benefits programs. Liaise with internal/external stakeholders and provide information and guidance to employees.
- Support immigration-related matters, including liaising with external immigration consultants, internal Sophos team, and employees.
- Manage and support ad-hoc projects, as assigned.
- Monitor the "pulse" of managers and employees and proactively address issues and risks and escalating to global or regional HRBPs.
- Analyze data trends and formulate data-driven recommendations.
- Own and support the planning and execution of social and in-person activities.
- Maintain a periodic presence in our Vancouver office, including working out of our Vancouver office when required.
- Act as back-up coverage for our HR Coordinator, as needed.

**What You Will Bring**:

- Relevant HR Generalist experience supporting teams in a global technology company.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You’ll be working with internal and external stakeholders at all levels and being clear, concise, and collaborative is key.
- Knowledge of Canada employment laws and best practices, with the drive to maintain and further your knowledge. Knowledge of US employment laws will be an asset.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic and evolving environment.
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with tact and discretion.
- A comfort and interest in utilizing data to drive HR recommendations.
- A proactive problem-solving approach with a keen eye for detail. We need someone who can anticipate challenges before they arise and offer proactive solutions.
- A curiosity and growth mindset - continuously seeking to learn, explore new ideas, and be open to different perspectives.
