JOB SUMMARY:
The Director, Patient Flow and Partnerships plays a key role in optimizing the flow of patients throughout the

continuum of care offered at TBRHSC and works with long term care and community partners extensively. The

Director also provides leadership related to community and system partnerships that are aligned with and advance

TBRHSC's Strategic Plan, annual corporate objectives, supports the organization's vision, and incorporates external

directions regarding the flow of patients throughout the continuum of care.

The Director, Patient Flow and Partnership's portfolio includes Corporate Patient Flow & Admitting, Administrative

Coordinators, Infection Prevention & Control, Chronic & Complex Diabetes, Bariatric Medicine, Medical Transition

Clinic, and Telemedicine.

In collaboration with the VP, Patient Experience, CNE & RVP and Medical Leads, the Director is accountable for the

leadership and management and quality of care delivered by the areas of responsibility. The incumbent is

responsible for planning, organizing, directing and evaluating all activities of the portfolio in order to provide optimal

patient care and the delivery of high quality service.

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Experience:

- Masters degree in Clinical area or Health Administration is desired.
- Undergraduate education, clinical certification and past experience will also be considered.
- Licensure as a Regulated Health Professional in Ontario is preferred
- Managing and preferably leading health systems, health care transformation and large numbers of clinical and

professional staff. (5 years minimum)

Skills/Abilities:

- Strong human resource and financial management skills
- Conflict resolution skills and ability to address contentious issues with team members, system partners and public
- Time management skills to meet deadlines and balance work expectations
- Ability to benchmark key performance indicators for services and costs
- Proficiency in operating computer programs
- Ability to consolidate divergent knowledge and ideas in order to conceptualize the total service in relation to the

Knowledge:

- Up‑to‑date knowledge of appropriate management and human resources principles
- Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations
- Knowledge of legislation related to long‑term care and the Ontario Hospitals Act

Salary Range: $69.920 to 82.260
