We are looking for a motivated Facilitator to join our Social and Civic Engagement team

**POSITION FUNCTION**:
Under the direction of the Coordinator, the Facilitator is responsible for engaging with participants,

facilitating social and civic engagement activities and supporting group community connection activities.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
1. Be familiar with MOSAIC’S vision, mission, values, strategic plan, and integrated client service delivery

approach, program and/or project proposals and contracts, and your role in achieving the goals and

contractual outcomes of the department.

2.0 Maintain knowledge of the unique needs of program participants and related activities/services.

2.1. Collect and maintain labour market information and information on current sector trends. Regularly report information to the Coordinator and Manager.

3.0 Assist in the recruitment and selection of program clients based on standardized assessment and evaluation procedures.

3.1. Refer ineligible clients to appropriate resources.

4.0 Support the Coordinator to ensure completion of deliverables as assigned by the manager and as part of the Funding Contract Agreement.

4.1 Organize activities such as training sessions, networking events, conferences and other activities.

4.2 Coordinate and Liaise with volunteers for delivery of activities.

5.0 Ensure continuous communication with clients and address and resolve client complaints.

6.0 Assist in developing and delivering training materials and provide instruction in all program elements and 8. ensure curricula materials are updated.

7.0 Organize and book speakers for events as required.

8.0 Administration, database management, marketing, promotion, and outreach.

9.0 Participate in departmental, all-staff, and relevant community meetings, in-service training, and other training.

10.0 Other duties, as assigned by the program coordinator or manager.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- University degree in social work, business administration, adult education, sociology, and inclusion studies or a combination of coursework and experience.
- Building partnerships with community agencies and other stakeholders.
- Facilitation/training experience, one-on-one or in large groups.
- Public speaking experience.
- Working with racialized immigrants and a broad range of cultural backgrounds.
- Skillful in creating detailed agendas for meetings and training sessions, outlining objectives, timelines, and interactive elements to engage participants effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to handle unexpected situations.
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment and adapt to a changing environment.
- Proven capability in coordinating logistics for large-scale conferences, including venue arrangements, catering, equipment setup, and ensuring a smooth flow of events.
- Working knowledge of existing programs and services, community resources, and local labour market and volunteering conditions.
- Proficient in utilizing virtual collaboration tools such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or other video conferencing platforms to organize and facilitate virtual meetings and training sessions.
- Proficiency in MS Office 365, MS Teams, Slack, publishing software, databases, and operating standard office equipment.
