Owned by InnVest Hotels, Canada’s largest owner & operator of hotels and focused exclusively on hospitality, Marriott Ottawa is preparing to begin a transformative, top to bottom renovation of all guestrooms, meeting and event space as well as all public areas, commencing in 2023, positioning the hotel to continue its storied legacy of hospitality excellence.

Responsible for the development of new accounts with potential for primarily catering requirements for day meetings, social events, holiday parties etc. both inside and outside of the hotel. Build meaningful customer loyalty through client partnerships and industry networking. Maximize account revenue penetration through effective use of sales resources

**YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE**:

- Responsible for full account management of hotel’s top clients. Full account management includes overseeing both group business and business transient requirements.
- Responsible for achieving personal sales activities, definite room night production quotas, call objectives, referrals and revenue targets.
- Quote and negotiate prices within parameters and process/negotiate contracts.
- Close business efficiently and coordinate with the Event Management department to ensure delivery of hotel’s promised services.
- Participation in site inspections, tradeshows etc., as required.
- Generation of leads for other InnVest/Marriott properties.
- Must be available to travel as required.
- Cooperate and communicate with other departments in arranging site visits, special events or information of interest regarding all clients.
- Promote and encourage inter-departmental cooperation and communication to improve customer service and overall satisfaction.
- Attend all departmental meetings on a regular basis, offering constructive feedback and input.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
- Other reasonable duties as required.

**JOB SPECIFICATIONS**:

- **Education/Experience**:_
- Bachelor Degree and/or Hotel Management degree preferred.
- Progressive hotel sales experience or similar environment required.
- Bilingualism (English & French) a definite asset.
- Knowledge of CI/TY, Windows, Word/Excel required.
- **Skills and Abilities**:_
- Highly motivated and guest driven with a proven ability to solve problems and make timely guest service decisions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Proactive and able to manage multiple functions and projects while meeting deadlines.
- A strong team player that is results oriented.
