**Overview**

To progress as a technical writer and to acquire intermediate documentation skills, develop assigned documentation deliverables, and perform other tasks to the individual's level of increasing expertise.

**This is a remote role in Canada.**

**Responsibilities**
- Learns the product delivery life cycle and how to monitor documentation progress within it.
- Write, edit, and perform other tasks to develop documentation under the direction of the Technical Publications Manager, Subject Matter Expert, and Tech Pubs mentor.
- Develops a wide range of guides for end users and administrators, including but not limited to feature guides, configuration guides, integration guides, interface documentation, and release notes. Applies all required standards and styles to documentation including copyrights and trademarks.
- Attend and participate in meetings/stand-ups/demos for assigned projects.
- Use Azure DevOps as required under supervision to track and record documentation tasks as well as the software release activities.
- Keep Technical Publications Manager and team lead informed of progress and complete all estimating and scoping worksheets as needed.
- Research and correct documentation defects.
- Participate in department team meetings.
- Manage time and prioritize tasks effectively; meet all deadlines.
- Adhere to all team and corporate processes, requirements, and regulations.
- Learn to adapt to new processes and standards.
- Communicates effectively with all colleagues at all levels and teams.
- Works on multiple deliverables simultaneously
- Demonstrates understanding of correct grammar, syntax, and spelling.
- Continue ongoing learning in writing, technical communication, and interpersonal skills.

**Qualifications**

Academic and Professional Qualifications:

- BA/BS degree preferably in: Technical Communication, English, or Journalism or equivalent experience
- Technical Communication certification from an educational institution

**Experience**:

- 1 to 2 years of successful work in the field of technical writing or a closely related field; or new college graduate with a degree in a similar discipline
- Familiarity with US healthcare is required.
- Experience working with a structured authoring tools such oXygen with knowledge of markup languages (XML with DITA Experience) preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple issues and projects
- Experience working remotely or in a virtual team environment.

Travel Requirements:

- May require limited travel for business needs.

Working Arrangements:

- Work is performed in a remote environment with mínimal exposure to health or safety hazards.
