About the Opportunity

Welch LLP is currently looking for a **Junior** **Technical** **Writer** specializing in the area of **Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED)** for our Ottawa office.

**Responsibilities**:

- Interviewing clients, uncovering all SR&ED eligible projects
- Planning, organizing, and executing engagements on time and on budget
- Preparing all necessary technical documentation to file a SR&ED claim on behalf of the client
- Proofreading and editing SR&ED project descriptions
- Assisting in the preparation of the financial documentation to file a SR&ED claim
- Advising and supporting clients before and during any CRA technical review for SR&ED tax credit claims
- Documenting all client interviews
- Gathering client support documentation as needed
- Assisting in developing project work plans and scheduling associated project deliverables
- Various other duties as requested

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Engineering or Science (Computer Science would be considered an asset)
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision on multiple projects
- Strong client focus and orientation towards achievement
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
