**About the Opportunity**:
We are looking to hire a full-time Service Technician to join our team as soon as possible. Currently based out of Newmarket (located at Highway 404 & Davis Drive), we are relocating to a brand-new, premium shop in Keswick (Hwy 404 & Woodbine Avenue) by the end of 2024.

As a distributor of Professional Turf Products, we service a wide variety of machines that maintain turf ranging from 18 inches to 16 feet wide. These machines use gasoline and diesel engines and feature hydraulic and mechanical drivelines. This is a great opportunity if you’re looking to break away from working on the same thing every day—there’s always something different and engaging with us.

***Responsibilities include**:

- Perform service on turf equipment according to manufacturer specifications, including oil, filter, and tire changes, component replacements, and cleaning and painting.
- Set up and perform PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) of new professional turf equipment following the manufacturer's instructions.
- Document work completed through work orders and other required paperwork.
- Use manufacturer resources to locate replacement part numbers and repair techniques.
- Participate in training through educational opportunities and technical publications to expand product knowledge.
- Maintain shop tools and equipment for proper operation, including daily cleaning of your workspace.
- Assist with shop duties as needed.

**Skills**:

- Effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to be flexible and adapt when shop priorities change.
- Competent with shop tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Knowledge of commercial grass cutting, or engine powered equipment an asset.
- Proactive and positive attitude with a strong attention to detail.

**Qualifications**:

- Must have some basic hand tools related to mechanical repairs.
- Experience in the repair of gasoline and diesel engines, and turf equipment would be an asset.
- Ability to Read Service Manuals, Electrical and Hydraulic schematics.
- Some experience with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Valid Certificate of Qualification in small engines, automotive service, or similar considered an asset.
