**Role**:
Reporting to the Director, Leasing, the Lease Analyst works independently as part of a team to take a lead role in providing analytical advice on lease contracts to Realty Services and Property Management Branches.

The incumbent plays a key role of:

- Collection and reporting of statistical and financial data; reconciliation of operating costs for payable and receivable leased space
- Monitoring and forecasting annual expenditures
- Processing a variety of financial documents and interfacing with landlords/tenants to resolve financial issues
- Reviews of annual audited statements from Landlords
- Tracking lease contract expiry dates and operating costs
- Processing invoices while ensuring compliance with the lease contracts for various costs such as property taxes and utilities
- Preparing correspondence to be sent to Landlords and Tenants
- Ensuring monies entitled to are received or billed within departmental deadlines, procedures and guidelines
- Identifying problem areas in existing financial policies and procedures and recommends changes to improve efficiency

**Qualifications**:
High school diploma and three years of related progressive experience of accounting principles and budget preparation.

Equivalency: Directly related experience or education considered on the basis of:

- One year of experience for one year of education; or
- One year of education for one year of experience.

Skills/knowledge of:

- Leasing and real estate contracts.
- Government and department policies and procedures.
- Strong administrative, communication and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and financial skills.
- Strong multi-tasking skills with the ability to deal with change and flexibility.
- Ability to work with internal/external stakeholders; independently and in a team environment.
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to use good judgement in negotiating and resolving conflicts.
- Proficient computer skills using various software programs such as Adobe, Outlook, Teams and MS 365 suite (e.g. Word, Excel,).
- Experience with Government systems/programs is an asset. (e.g. 1GX, CMS, BLIMS, etc.).

**Salary**:
$1,884.99 to $2,307.87 bi-weekly ($49,198 - $60,235/year)

**Notes**:
Hours of work:
36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.15 am to 4.30 pm
