PAL Group Winnipeg is looking to add a permanent procurement agent to their team.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Solicit bids, analyze quotes, select and recommend suppliers who can provide items and services for the most favorable price consistent with quality, quantity, specifications and other factors on an as needed basis. Negotiate with vendors on substitutions, replacements, cost of freight and handling charges.
- Plan, schedule and handle transactions connected with the procurement of materials, supplies, and services. Determine order quantities and oversee inventory control system.
- Follow up on orders as needed, resolve vendor issues and handle related correspondence.
- Advise appropriate staff of any vendor or purchasing issues or concerns.
- Maintain computerized records on materials and perform physical inventories as needed.
- Supervise receiving function and ensure the quality of incoming materials
- Maintain and update various computerized files for a diverse and varied purchased and manufactured inventory, and records including vendor, price, product and material files, quality assurance records, receiving reports, and open completed purchase order records.
- Reconcile accounts payable invoices with receiving reports
- Coordinate work with management, sales, accounting, shipping, and other internal personnel as required
- Maintain knowledge of current trends in the business, and attend appropriate training programs to remain current on all aspects of the business
- Knowledge of Epicor computer system is an asset, but training will be provided
- Other duties as required, or assigned
