Total Safety, a division of the Total Group of Companies, is an industrial service company specializing in fire, rescue, medical, and safety services - including training. We are based out of Red Deer, but we service all of AB, BC, SK, and ONT.

Total Safety is actively seeking an Energy Safety Canada Instructor to teach out of our Red Deer office location and/or on client site locations.

Under the direct supervision of the General Manager, daily task and activities include but are not limited to:

- Delivery of safety training programs such as H2S Alive, CSO, First Aid, etc.
- Provide students with information on applicable safety equipment and facilitate equipment sales
- Assist with project preparations
- Detail oriented
- Willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to follow directions
- Excellent communication and networking skills
- Safety driven
- Positive attitude
- Presentation skills
- Proficient computer skills
- Ability to multi-task

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

- Authorized to work in Canada and possess a valid SIN
- Be 19 years of age or older
- Have a valid drivers licence with a minimum of 3 years driving experience
- Be able to produce a satisfactory driving abstract
- Be physically fit with the ability to lift 50-75 lbs
- Be willing and able to travel out of town
- Be willing and able to work outdoor, in varying weather conditions
- Be able to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing
- Have previous experience with adult teaching
- Have occupational health and safety knowledge
- Be professional in appearance and manner
- Possess valid Energy Safety Canada Train the Trainer Certification(s)
