The Creative and Digital Media Specialist is responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of design concepts for use in traditional and digital media. This position will be responsible for leading creative and digital initiatives through collaboration with internal stakeholders.

**Job Duties**:
Lead and execute the design of brand-related materials, including marketing collateral, website assets, social media graphics, and other visual elements across various channels to support department and corporate initiatives. This includes managing, editing and coordinating layout and design of organizational literature created by external vendors, ensuring continuity of brand and graphic design standards.

Perform layout and design for print and digital content for various business areas, programs, events and projects (e.g., publications, brochures, posters, banners). Use best practices in design, page layouts, graphics, illustrations and photographic elements.

Create short videos to highlight, recap and promote various projects, initiatives and events. Edit video clips and reels for use on social media platforms.

Provides design advice, support and project management assistance to leadership, corporate/organizational project teams, committees, departments and external stakeholders.

Ensures maintenance and integrity of WCB and SAFE Work Manitoba brand standards.

Assists with the maintenance of the WCB and SAFE Work Manitoba websites and intranet, and social media channels, including measuring analytics to evaluate performance and identify trends. Performs website and intranet maintenance such as removing old or duplicate content, creating web pages, providing design options for images, graphics or website artwork, and reorganizing pages to make them more accessible for audiences.

Provides general digital support services to content creators and users such as developing, maintaining and updating user guides and assisting in the development of internal fillable forms.

Conducts ongoing reviews to ensure that communications materials and tactics developed meet changing demographic needs of customers and manages necessary updates. This includes brainstorming sessions with stakeholders and business units to generate new ideas in promoting services and creating communication support materials.

Pursues professional and personal development through continuing education and training, literature reviews, and workshops, seminars, etc. to ensure continued expertise and knowledge of the latest creative and digital trends/technologies, and best practices.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:
Completion of a two (2) year diploma in Graphic Design, Graphic Communications, Creative Communications or a related discipline.
Minimum five (5) years' experience in visual communication design in a similar work environment, including progressive experience in digital strategy, web design/development and/or digital marketing. Experience managing enterprise social media tools and technologies, including monitoring and digital marketing metrics.

Advanced proficiency in industry standard software, including Adobe Creative Cloud programs such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop as well as content management systems and Microsoft Office software.

Expertise in graphic design, video production, animation, and other creative techniques with exceptional design, artistic, typographic, layout and compositing abilities.

Understanding of digital and social media platforms.

Strong collaboration and presentation skills; able to convey design rationale to the larger team and clients.

Ability to provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders and adapt to a changing environment.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple demands and work under pressure within tight deadlines.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders and act with tact, diplomacy, integrity and professionalism.

Experience with photography, illustration and motion graphics considered an asset.

Certification or accreditation with a professional communication or public relations association considered an asset.

Knowledge of User Interface and User Experience (UI/UX) to influence websites and apps considered an asset.

Knowledge of Search Engine Optimization best practices and strategies considered an asset.

Ability to communicate proficiently in both official languages (English & French) is an asset, but is not required.
