Junior Payroll Administrator

**LEON’S IS NOW HIRING A FULL-TIME JUNIOR PAYROLL ADMINISTRATOR**
Leon’s, a trusted name in Canadian homes for over a century, is growing, and we want you to grow with us. We are currently seeking a **Junior Payroll Administrator** to join our Payroll team at our corporate Home Office in Toronto, Ontario under a 6-month contract.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Assist in processing biweekly payroll for commission, salary, and hourly employees.
- Help maintain the time & attendance tracking system.
- Support the team by responding to payroll inquiries from retail locations and offering solutions.
- Aid in issuing ROEs and preparing payroll reports as requested.
- Participate in basic accounting tasks related to payroll.
- Utilize intermediate, to advanced, Excel skills, such as data entry and simple formulas.
- Collaborate with retail locations and other Human Resources departments within the organization.
- Assist with other payroll-related duties as assigned.
**EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**:
- 1-3 years of experience in a payroll or administrative role.
- Basic understanding of payroll software (knowledge of ADP, Kronos, or WFN is a plus).
- Familiarity with Canadian legislative requirements and CRA regulations (training will be provided).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Bilingual in French is an asset but not required.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information responsibly.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- A positive attitude, with flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities.
- Ability to work on multiple tasks and meet deadlines with attention to detail.
- A self-starter who enjoys working independently and as a part of a team when needed
- Willingness to learn and adhere to company policies and procedures.
