The Non-Insured Benefits Branch within the Department of Health is seeking qualified individuals to fill two Manitoba Drug Standards Therapeutics Committee (MDSTC) Coordinator Clerk 4 (CL4) positions located in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The branch manages and administers sustainable drug programs for eligible Manitobans under various programs such as Pharmacare, Palliative Care Drug Access Program, Home Cancer Drug Program, drug plan benefits for employment income participants, and residents of personal care homes. The Non-Insured Benefits Branch is also responsible for strategic and system-wide policy and analysis development related to drug management and utilization.

Qualifications:
**Essential**:

- Degree/Certificate/Course in Pharmacy related studies or equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Experience working with professional entities, the general public, and providing service to diverse clients and assistance in a professional environment.
- Experience conducting research and analysis for policies, project development and implementation.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, including the ability to work on several projects simultaneously in order to meet strict deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and maintain effective working relationships with various stakeholders such as government, non-government, industry, and resource users.
- Political acumen to navigate sensitive and confidential information.
- Ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy in performing administrative or clerical tasks including data entry, typing documents and preparing reports.
- Effective problem solving and decision-making skills to make independent decisions and manage various requests or inquiries. Responsible for making independent decisions and managing various requests or inquiries.
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to write various documents and reports at a professional level.
- Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate information to all levels of the team and organization.

**Duties**:
This position reports directly to the Director, and is responsible for establishing and carrying out the analytic and administrative duties related to the drug submission process, assisting the branch to carry out its duties effectively in accordance with the Pharmaceutical Act and in accordance with The Prescriptions Drugs Cost Assistance Act. The MDSTC Coordinator Clerk 4 supports listing of generic drugs in Manitoba, accurately calculating, entering, and monitoring pricing of all drugs listed in the various Provincial Drug Programs into the Drug Program Information Network (DPIN) including participation on the pan-Canadian Pharmaceutical Alliance and drafting recommendations for formulary amendments. The incumbent provides analytical and administrative support to the Manitoba Drug Standards and Therapeutics Committee, the Formulary Management (FM) and Exception Drug Status (EDS) unit including the Pharmaceutical Consultant(s), the Pharmaceutical Policy Unit (PPU) and various other branch staff and/or management as required.
