We’re looking for a **Property Unit Claims Manager** to join our growing team
**What you'll do here**:
- Provide leadership and manage the operations to achieve key business goals including communicating corporate vision, and values.
- Drive results by implementing appropriate performance expectations and management through effectively coaching and mentoring employees.
- Develop and recommend organizational initiatives to support company strategies including changes to process or technology improvements.
- Audit staff files and provide feedback and/or training as determined. When required, establish controls based on audit findings.
- Act in a consultative and advisory capacity on claims matters such as: policy interpretation and settlement negotiation to help resolve claims-related issues.
- Provide effective leadership by continuously keeping staff informed of changes or new directions and share responsibility for the overall productivity and engagement of team members.
- Communicate with other claims experts on technical and administrative issues.
- Maintain a respectful and productive business relationship with vendors, service providers, and internal client groups.
- Ensure that corporate policies, claims standards, and procedures are being followed.
**What you bring to the table**
- Minimum 2 years leadership experience and effective coaching of employees.
- Strong knowledge of the claims process and policy interpretation.
- Excellent computer skills and knowledge.
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of staff.
- Commitment toward ongoing self-development.
- Ability to focus on what is important, be curious and ask why.
- A can-do attitude.
