**Head, Digital Strategy**
Reporting directly to the Country President and General Manager Pharmaceutical Division, Bayer Inc., the Head Digital Strategy is responsible for leading the digital strategy and innovation roadmap for the Canadian Pharmaceutical organization. This role is responsible for monitoring the external environment for new innovations and using this knowledge to promote futuristic thinking and digital literacy across the organization. This role will collaborate with relevant global teams to ensure country perspective while creating and maintaining digital infrastructure. The Head Digital Strategy will be part of the Pharma Leadership Team.

**What you will do**:
The Head Digital Strategy will play a key role interfacing with Bayer Inc’s Pharmaceutical Head Office organization, working closely with the Head of Product & Operations and core functional leaders to interpret and activate digital engagement strategies.
More specifically, the Head Digital Strategy will be responsible to:
- Lead, develop and direct the digital strategy, innovation roadmap, and processes for the Canadian Pharma business (Medical & Commercial) including the creation of the digital vision.
- Provide deep digital literacy expertise within and across the therapeutic areas and markets in which Bayer competes. The individual will need to understand the evolving needs of our target customers, understand competitive dynamics, and anticipate market trends and opportunities to maximize our customer engagement strategy and tactics. The individual will need to cascade this knowledge and "customer back" mindset across the Customer Engagement and Product & Operations organizations.
- In partnership with Product & Operations, responsible for driving and guiding customer omni-channel strategy and implementation across all Therapeutic Areas.
- Develop and implement change management process for implementing effective customer omni-channel strategies.
- Leverage artificial intelligence to enhance overall business objectives, identify opportunities for automation, and collaborate with Product & Operations to integrate AI solutions.
- Work collaboratively with Customer Engagement, Product & Operations and Medical Affairs organizations in the development of new processes where needed, key performance indicators, metrics, and dashboards.
- Work actively to enhance digital literacy and transform the digital mindset across the Canadian Pharmaceutical Organization. Improve confidence and comfort of digital staff in utilizing existing and new digital channels and tools.
- Continuously monitor the external digital landscape to identify new innovations and digital tools.
- Develop a long-term digital engagement strategy for the Canadian Pharmaceutical Organization.
- Ensure country perspective on relevant global teams and provide local input into global omnichannel and digital strategy.
- Drive conversion of global content into modular and channel ready scientific material in collaboration with global - drive creativity to foster digital ready material to market in time.
- Build basis for communications methods to convert scientific materials for various channels.
- Identify and address implementation barriers to new digital tools and processes.
**Who you are**:
- Bachelor’s degree; MBA or related graduate degree
- Scientific, medical, or pharmaceutical background with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the health industry
- Deep commercial and medical business acumen and understanding (digital, data analytics, omni-channel customer engagement)
- Digital Marketing Expertise and Technical Proficiency - SEO, SEM, CX/UX design, content marketing, social media marketing. digital technology and platforms, emerging digital trends, and AI/Gen-AI
- Experience with external digital capability vendors, experts, and agencies.
- Strategic Mindset and demonstrated ability to challenge the status quo
- Strong Business and technology acumen
- Expertise in developing and implementing digital processes
- Background in building scientific product content
- Demonstrated capability to manage complex interdepartmental and international projects
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively across global and country organization
