**Job Description**:
In collaboration with the Trading Manager, the Account Manager/Junior Trader is responsible for buying and trading of scrap metal products. They are also required to develop and maintain outstanding business relationships with new and current customers. This position requires a self-motivated individual who thrives in a dynamic work environment and enjoys working closely with various departments within the company, as well as customers and suppliers.
- Develop and maintain outstanding business relationships with existing and new clients
- Identify new markets, suppliers and/or customers
- Work with Trading Manager to develop and maintain targets
- Purchase and sell material across various markets while meeting volume and profit targets
- Visit with suppliers and/or customers, either on the phone or in person, to promote new and repeat business, quote pricing, provide customer service, answer questions, handle complaints and build rapport
- Coordinate deliveries and/or pickups and assist dispatch where appropriate
- Develop a network of reliable contacts
- Utilize knowledge of yard operations and processing to make cost effective pricing decisions
- Keep informed of competitive efforts directed at our accounts. Develop strategies and action to prevent account loss
- Generate and maintain spreadsheets as necessary
- Commodity market trend/indexes
- Pricing
- Order Performance
- Etc.
- Perform special projects as assigned
- Other duties as required

**Qualifications**:

- Results-driven mentality, with a propensity for speed and action
- Exceptional communication skills, highly organized, collaborative and detail oriented
- Entrepreneurial spirit and high-energy
- University Degree is preferred
- Sales, marketing and/or operations focus is an asset
- Exceptional math, linguistic and computer (MS Office) skills are essential
- 1+ years in a Customer Success, Relationship Management, Account Management, or similar role is preferred
- Valid passport and driver’s license
