Reporting to the Associate Registrar, Records, Registration & Reporting, the Registration Advisor works closely with other registration advisors to assist with the backend support for the Registrar’s Office. This includes compiling external and internal reports and statistics, processing grades, and maintaining system data, student records, degree audit rules, program planners, transfer credit agreements, and the Academic Calendar. The Registration Advisor also assists students, instructors, and deans with questions and inquiries related to the Registrar’s Office.

**Please note that there are two (2) temporary full-time positions**

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare, verify, and maintain required files.
- Compile reports and statistics as requested by internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in the preparation, maintenance, and archiving of all student academic records.
- Process approved grades and grade changes.
- Assist with the completion of program progress reports and degree audits.
- Assist with the maintenance of degree audit rules within our Student Information System (SIS).
- Assist in the maintenance of the Academic Calendar, program planners and website for the department.
- Respond to internal and external stake-holder requests in a sensitive and timely fashion; uses problem-solving techniques to resolve sensitive issues.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree
- Effective organizational skills to manage various work assignments given frequent interruptions while maintaining attention to details.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), record-keeping, and telephone skills are required.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team, maintain confidentiality, and deal with conflict using tact and discretion.
- Commitment to exceptional customer service and a student-focused philosophy.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience with Google docs, is required with an aptitude to learn other software as required.
- Demonstrated ability to utilize mathematical/statistical calculations for reporting.
- Experience using an integrated student information system is an asset.
- Knowledge of regulations and policies related to student records and admissions is an asset.
- Experience working in a post-secondary education environment is an asset.
- Satisfactory Criminal Records Check results.
