**Position Description**:

The **Quality Improvement Specialist** has primary responsibilities for centralized hospital functions related to quality improvement including: Serious Safety Event Reviews, Emergency Preparedness, development and analysis of quality metrics, support for education, implementation, measurement and evaluation of local quality initiatives.

**Here’s What You’ll Get To Do**:

- Supporting the Serious Safety Event Review process at an organizational level
- Supporting the Senior Manager with the Emergency Preparedness Program at an organizational level
- Develop and evaluate quality indicators, quality processes and safety initiatives.
- Conduct data analysis to identify improvement needs, program development and evaluation.
- Act as a support for staff and a representative to address quality management issues.
- Assist in other department initiatives such as safety reporting trends, Caring Safely Program training and general data management
- Provide direct support to hospital-wide Quality Committees.

**Here’s What You’ll Need**:

- 3-5 years nursing or professional allied health experience preferred.
- Healthcare background with graduate level education.
- 1-2 years experience in a leadership role in Quality Improvement, Process Improvement, Patient Safety in combination with clinical or administrative work experience in acute care hospital.

**Employment Type**: 2 positions available
- 1 year Full time contract
- 8 month Full time contract
