**Position Description**:
The Department of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology is now seeking to recruit a** Quality Leader/Improvement Specialist (IS) **to support our mission of being a global leader in the provision of exceptional imaging care for children_. _Reporting to the Senior Manager of Operations and working collaboratively with the DIR leadership teams and point of care healthcare professionals, the IS will be a key enabler of quality improvement, innovation, measurement-based care and interprofessional collaboration.

**Here's What You'll get To Do**:
- As the leader for a comprehensive quality management program, you will be the expert resource for staff on quality management issues. This includes leadership and collaboration with staff in the development of quality indicators, quality processes, process improvements and evaluation.
- Lead and collaborate with all modalities in DIR and inpatient and outpatient teams to develop and evaluate quality indicators, quality processes and safety initiatives at the departmental and hospital level.
- Support continuous preparation/readiness of all Accreditation Canada requirements.
- Conduct specialized data analysis (data from Safety Reporting System, EPIC, etc.) to provide staff with feedback, identify improvement needs, program development, and evaluation at the departmental and hospital level.
- Support staff to identify, and actively participate in collective problem solving to address quality management, and safety issues.
- Act as a mentor and coach to staff across the department in clinical and support roles, including the QI Associate.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of department initiatives such as M&M rounds, emergency preparedness processes, Caring Safely initiatives, serious safety event reviews, accreditation, and the patient and family advisory committee.
- Lead and contribute to both departmental and hospital strategic initiatives including ongoing education and communication strategies. This includes the DIR Safety Coach Community of Practice meetings and activities, and safety awareness days/events.
- Prepare and distribute agendas and minutes for meetings. Follow-up and/or implement items resulting from minutes, meetings, working groups and committees.
- Develop policies/protocol/practices that maximize team collaboration, standardized processes, and quality care.
**Here's What You'll Need**:
- Possess or be actively pursuing a master's degree (preferred) in a relevant health care field; membership in a regulatory college preferred.
- Relevant experience in quality management, Accreditation preparation processes, and process improvement models.
- Demonstrated project management skills and/or certification in project management is an asset.
- Experience with data collection, database or survey development, and data analysis preferred.
- Experience working in Radiology preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to achieve accuracy and thoroughness when completing your work.
- Completion of Caring Safely Safety Coach Program training or working towards.
- Demonstrated skills in interprofessional collaboration, problem solving and critical thinking.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal.
