Document Control Specialist

Toronto, Canada Li-Cycle Corp Full time

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Provide administrative and document management support to Li-Cycle’s European Hub project team:

- Review, understand, and execute Document Control procedures and practices.
- Perform regular reviews of Document Control procedures and practices.
- Prepare, modify, and revise Document Control Procedures and Practices as required.
- Audit current work practices against Document Control Procedures and Practices, including ensuring documents are stored in correct network areas.
- Assist with establishing and maintaining a project filing structure.
- Assign document numbers to various project documents including supplier documentation following Project Naming Procedure for project documents.
- Maintain register of all project documents, including incoming and outgoing transmittals.
- Accept, process, and manage document transmittals from multiple external suppliers.
- Inform Lead Engineer upon vendor, consultant, contractor document submission in the vendor portal.
- As needed, re-organize project documents to improve upon current document management practices.
- Assist the project team by monitoring transmittals and ensuring timely review and close-out of deliverables
- Manage and continue to develop Li-Cycle’s standard document templates.
- As needed, arrange, and attend meetings, including recording, writing and issuing of minutes.
- Provide training to all users of the document management system.

**Job Qualifications**:

- Minimum 5 years' experience in an industrial manufacturing design or operating environment
- Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, Adobe Acrobat and File Transfer Protocol
- Prior experience working supporting major capital projects is an asset
- Proficient in MS Office, Microsoft SharePoint and Adobe Acrobat
- Able to successfully work both collaboratively and independently.
- Good organizational skills with accurate attention to detail, with the ability to establish priorities and work under pressure to meet schedules
- Self-starter, requiring minimum guidance
- Uses initiative to identify, investigate and solve problems

**Work Conditions**:

- Some travel may be required.
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
