We are seeking a dynamic leader who will help contribute to the growing environment of the Career Services Department at Oxford College. As a **Career Services Manager,** you will ensure that each Oxford College campus’ Career Services provides exceptional career development opportunities, which take into account the distinct needs of Oxford’s diverse student body.

You will oversee and deliver strategic leadership for developing, implementing, and evaluating recruiting systems, programs, and events that connect employers with students, faculty, and alumni; as well as adeptly steer the Career Services Coordinator team to provide tailored and exceptional delivery within career counseling, job placement, personal and professional development, and cultivating strong relationships with internal and external partners, which benefit our students’, alumni, and adult learners’ career development and recruitment opportunities.

**Required Qualifications**:
**Education**:
Successful completion of a post-secondary degree program in a related field such as education, curriculum development, higher education administration or student affairs.

**Experience**:

- Minimum 5 years of experience in a relevant area such as recruitment, career counseling, or customer service
- direct experience working and supporting people.
- 2 years’ supervisory experience is required.

**Special Requirements**:

- A strong knowledge of trends in internships, employment, the economy, effective interventions, technology, and industry networks.
- Demonstrated leadership skills to provide work and direction to a team of Career Service Coordinators.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, diplomacy, sensitivity and demonstrated professionalism to deliver presentations to large groups of people as well as facilitate resolution to issues.
- Experience in providing professional/career development opportunities for post-secondary students in a collaborative manner.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as an effective team-member; strong time management skills, ability to multi-task and flexibility to effectively prioritize and ensure completion of assigned work, to change priorities as the need arises and to work overtime as required.

**Responsibilities**:

- Create, collaborate, and execute a strategic vision for the Career Services department to include the development and implementation of long-term strategic plans, short-term operational plans and the determination of strategic priorities.
- Prepare the annual operating budget and monitor monthly activity in all Career Services' accounts.
- Engage in and represent Oxford College in professional associations and community activities to promote the objectives of the Career Services department.
- Manage and provide leadership to the Career Services staff including administrative meetings, training, professional development and motivating the team to reach beyond traditional responsibilities.
- Pursue increased potential for placement career opportunities by identifying partnerships and development opportunities to support employment initiatives and programs.
- Grow and cultivate relationships with existing employer contacts and key campus stakeholders.
- Develop and deliver workshops and career-related programs.
- Continuously survey graduates and employers to ensure programs meet or exceed the current job market and employer needs.
- Leverage technology to expand online resources for all career-related opportunities; enhance networking and connections for employers, students, and alumni.
- Plan and conduct new student orientation and graduate commencement ceremonies.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies for Career Services events and programs including creating publications, managing social media, and updating websites.
- Plan and organize career/job fairs.
- Oversee and monitor the development of job orders from employers, the presentation of graduates’ resumes, scheduling interviews, and follow-up with employers and graduates; all resulting in the successful placement of graduates.
- Maintain accurate alumni and graduate placement data; develop alumni career resource tools.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
